We are a small animal and exotics practice in Tarporley, near Chester. We welcome all pets – we aim to ensure animals and their owners feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door.
We are recognised as one of the best equipped surgeries in the country for treating exotic animals. Birch Heath offers first opinion services for both companion and exotic animals, as well as a referral service for exotic animals.
Birch Heath Veterinary Clinic boasts a modern operating theatre, walk-in kennel for large dogs, reptile room, small mammal and bird room, a laboratory for in-house diagnostics, ultrasound and endoscopy.

When our practice is closed during nights, weekends and bank holidays, we provide 24/7 care at CVS Vets 24/7, Chester.
Their dedicated emergency team includes experienced vets and nurses who are trained in urgent critical care, ensuring your pet receives the attention they need at any time of day or night.
If you are concerned about your pet, you can call for free telephone advice. If your pet needs to be seen, the team will arrange an emergency consultation at their clinic.
